Do you have a bedroom that is packed full of stuff you never really use? Are you constantly tripping over stuff that you have not bothered to throw away? Does your bedroom always look untidy? If so, working on decluttering your room and organizing it can do wonders to help make you enjoy that room once more.

Organizing your bedroom does not just entail being able to find the things you need when you want them, but it is also about creating a calmer, cleaner, and welcoming environment where you can relax without the burden of stress that clutter can create. To start with, you will need to identify the major things you want to keep or throw away. Try taking everything out and then putting everything back together. It will take quite a bit of time and effort, but you will be surprised of the end result. Here are a few more helpful tips on how to organize your bedroom to create the perfect room for your relaxation..

First of all you need to think of the purpose of your room. This might seem an obvious question; I mean it’s a bedroom! Or is it? Like a lot of people a bedroom sometimes loses it identity and becomes a place for exercising, TV viewing, playing games, reading, sewing/crafts, surfing the internet? You can start to see why any room becomes messy.

Make a list of the items that you need for your bedroom. Then find out how much space is needed for you to store your items relevant to the room when they are not being used? You might find it helpful to make a drawing of the room to get a better idea of where things could go and it also gives you the opportunity to just play around with possible layout of furniture.

When organizing a  the room you will need to do a lot of sorting and replacing. Start by selling, giving to family and friends or simply throw away anything that is not needed. Make sure you look in every box, closets, drawers or anything that is storing something in your room. Then Identify all of the items you want to keep in your bedroom, placing  them in places within your reach. Don't place them  in areas that will create more clutter. You wlll inherit more storage space and no doubt you will want to store other items that are not used as often. That is acceptable but I advise you to put labels on them. Make sure these labels are clear with titles and maybe a description of contents if necessary. Finally keep your bedroom clean and tidy. You don't want to undo all the good work and fall back into bad habits.

Organizing  your bedroom will be rewarding and you will notice the benefits straight away.So go ahead and do it now. Dream about you perfect bedroom and follow this dream through by taking  action. Be very rough-less about rubbish. Just get rid of it.  So do it now, because its all down to you.
